///

In this performance Wafaa Yasin explores and responds to the ideas of losing your way home. Perhaps one has lost any hope of returning to their homeland? The results of recent political movements in the Middle East demonstrate an unknown direction or path, which is ironic given the constant direction towards a higher ideological path; in principle, towards Mecca.

Wafaa Yasin was born in Galilee, Palestine. she has participated in artist residencies in Italy, France, Turkey, and Germany. Her work has been shown internationally and regionally, including the Thessaloniki Biennial Performance Art Festival in Greece, University of Nottingham England, Southern Exposure, the Contemporary Jewish Museum, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, the Performance Art Institute, and Krowswork Gallery. In 2012 she had her first solo show in the Bay Area as part of ProArts Gallery: 2×2 Solos.
