The opening of the exhibition On Site/Insight also marked the opening of the Manresa Gallery and with it was a series of dedications and blessings on the evening of the reception.
The dedication of the gallery space began with a blessing by Fr. Charles Gagan, S.J. (now former pastor of St. Ignatius). Attendees gathered in celebration in the pews adjacent to the Gallery space. The blessing was followed by a sound installation by Guillermo Galindo entitled Echo Blessing. The piece re-played and re-mixed. Fr. Gagan’s blessing, playing with the various reverberations (echoes) in the church.
